As the president of Mattress by Appointment in Greenville, South Carolina, Edwin Shoffner builds on more than 30 years of experience in the bedding industry. He earlier served as the president and CEO of Mattress Man Inc., beginning in November of 1998, and managed and owned five mattress locations in North Carolina's Piedmont Triad region. Edwin Shoffner successfully guided the company through two nationwide economic crises and subsequently liquidated his inventory of Serta, Sealy, Simmons, and Tempurpedic mattresses in 2007.

Edwin Shoffner also draws on experience as the cofounding president and CEO of American Mattress Centers, which operated inside of Walmart Supercenters. He facilitated the opening of more than 140 of these centers in only 18 months during 2000-2002, while simultaneously leading Mattress Man.

Edwin Shoffner now focuses on his responsibilities as the senior executive of Mattress by Appointment, a licenser with over 200 licensees in 45 states, and as the president of a related company, Mattress Wholesale. Mattress Wholesale represents such companies as Perfect Fit Industries and Five Star and Serta Mattresses.
