PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification


Edwin Shoffner is an experienced sales professional and senior administrator who heads two companies in Greenville, South Carolina. Away from his work, Edwin Shoffner enjoys scuba diving. He holds multiple certifications through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), including Advanced Open Water Diver certification. 

The leading organization dedicated to training and educating recreational scuba divers, PADI has issued more than 25 million certifications around the world. In addition to overseeing basic Open Water Diver certification, the organization offers a range of specialized certifications.

PADI’s Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to expand scuba skills beyond the basic Open Water Diver level and build diving confidence under a variety of circumstances. To become certified, a candidate must complete a total of five recorded dives, three of which can be of the diver’s choosing. The other two required dives, the Deep Dive and the Underwater Navigation Dive, prove the candidate’s ability to navigate the challenges of extreme depths and plot underwater paths using elements such as kick-cycles and visual landmarks.

Greenville ARP Church Announces 2019 Fellowship at Bonclarken

The president of Mattress by Design, Edwin Shoffner, oversees all of the South Carolina-based company's daily operations, from merchandising to sales management. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Edwin Shoffner demonstrates a deep commitment to giving back to the local community by regularly engaging in the activities of Greenville Associate Reformed Presbyterian (ARP) Church. The vision of the Greenville ARP Church is to welcome people into its family of reformed believers, and its ultimate goal is to bring God glory.
